Thank you for considering our research community. We offer Master of Philosophy (MPhil) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) programs as higher degrees by research.
We have just over 100 higher degree by research students studying in a diverse range of research areas in education by various study modes. About one-third are international students, adding a rich, culturally diverse dimension to our research community.
Enrolment
Higher Degrees by Research are managed through the UQ Graduate School. Students, once enrolled, are administered in accordance with UQ HDR Candidature Progression Policy.
Please note that your prior study and experience must meet the University's requirements for research content. Refer to the UQ Graduate School site regarding minimum entry requirements.
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Education HDR study
The School of Education warmly welcomes Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Higher Degree by Research (HDR) students.
The SoE DEADLY Community provides a culturally safe and nurturing space for mob to connect with peers and academic colleagues in the School of Education and support each other throughout their research journey.
