The overall aim is to contribute to a cultural shift within the policy, scholarly and practitioner purviews that is Indigenous-led and underpinned by self-determination. The data set on the voices, visions, perspectives and experiences of diverse Indigenous peoples will inform the commencement of the development of a theorisation that reflects Indigenous aspirations and conceptualises what excellence in education broadly can be for Indigenous people.

The aims of this project are:

  1. creation of a data set that is Indigenous-led, and focused on Indigenous conceptualising of what an excellence approach to Indigenous education is and can be.
  2. Development of an informed understanding of the possibilities for a shared vision for the theorisation of Indigenous excellence in education.
