Rethinking the recruitment of teachers and school leaders: New technologies and new approaches

Recruiting and retaining high-quality educators (teachers and school leaders) is a pressing challenge, with chronic shortages in certain subject areas and geographical regions. In this talk, three studies are presented outlining how educator recruitment (and subsequent professional learning) can be built using new approaches and new technologies recently developed and tested in the UK, Australia, and internationally. Implications for the education workforce are discussed.
