Brisbane - Public Lecture
Schools as laboratories for democractic life.

How does it change the idea of a school when children are protagonists of their learning
processes?
Tuesday 17th May  6 - 6.30pm - 8.30pm
Advanced Engineering Building,
University of QLD, St Lucia, QLD

Join REAIE for a special public lecture featuring Tiziana Filippini. Tiziana is a pedagogista and a
collaborator with Reggio Children and was formerly responsible for the Documentation and Research
Centre at the Malaguzzi International Centre in Reggio Emilia.
In this lecture, Tiziana will share key experiences and pedagogical thinking from her experience
working with the infant-toddler centres, pre-schools and primary school in Reggio Emilia across many
years. Time will be given at the end of the lecture, in concluding remarks, to reflect on the implications
of these messages and how they may serve as provocations for educators and families in Australian
contexts.
This event is aimed at the broader educational community. It is appropriate for individuals and groups
who are either experienced with or new to the ideas of Reggio Emilia.
